Scotland moves forward with new currency to replace pound

New product

Here is a pic of a couple of the proposed new silver coins being considered by the Scottish Government to replace the pound.
Due to the weak economy and deflation these silver coins which are to be called futrets are very very small.
These coins measuring about 6mm in diameter are in fact 19th century silver chuckram from the Indian state of Travencore.
These are sometimes described as the world's tiniest silver coins.
