The History of Collecting the World
Collecting the World is an antiques and collectables business based in Aberdeenshire.
Formed 8 years ago when chartered accountant Brian Cheyne took early retirement, Collecting the World began trading in antiques and collectables at Haddo House, a National Trust property in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Since then, the business has expanded to include several stockists, prop hire and a large retail shop in Newmachar and now this latest development the online antiques and collectables shop.
The name Collecting the World was derived from Brian's lifelong interest in collecting, researching and at times restoring a very wide range of vintage items. The stock is diverse, interesting and at times unexpected.

What We Do
From antique jewellery and glassware to ceramics and silverware, Collecting the World specialises in finding interesting items. You'll also find collectables like militaria, kitchenalia, books and postcards as well as antique tools & instruments, wooden ware, paintings and lots more.
We also offer a finders service to help you track down that elusive collectable, and a props service to supply props for all kinds of events, shows, gatherings and productions.
As well as our online shop and retail shop in Newmachar, we also provide antiques and collectables for a number of stockists throughout Aberdeenshire and the North East. Check out our Stockists page to find out more.
