Pair of John Derbyshire uranium pressed glass lions registered in 1874
These Victorian uranium lions have the John Derbyshire anchor stamp and the registration lozenge stamp for 1874.
These were originally used as mantle piece ornaments or paperweights and measure ca 18.5cms wide by 11 deep and 12 high.
This pair is in very good condition though like any of these I have encountered, both lions have some chips to the ribbed base, also one has a wee chip to the ear and mane and a hairline crack of ca 3cms long which runs along the front base of the main.
Overall though an attractive pair in pretty good order with a great colour.
