Special purpose Victorian moulding plane used in window making by Alexr. Marshall GLASGOW


This unusual special purpose beech moulding plane was made by Alexander Marshall Argyle Street Glasgow sometime between 1886 and 1901. 

This type of plane was used in the manufacture of sash and case windows and this example with moving fence is in very good condition and measures ca 24cms by 7.

This plane has been treated for woodworm and has a few old woodworm holes.
